Lightning in the News

 “We were just sitting in the river waiting for the storm to blow over”  4th of July lightning strike kills one man, injures 12.


Planes get struck by lightning and most times, nothing happens.  That was not the case for a Delta flight in February.


Someone being directly struck by lightning is rare.  

A motorcyclist was struck in the helmet on I-95 in Florida in June.
